Costa Rica is situated in North America, right above Panama. Unlike any other Latin American country, Costa Rica is extremely safe for all kinds of travellers. It would not be wrong to say that it is the safest country for solo travellers who are adventure enthusiasts.
Although alone, you will never feel lonely. A lot of adventure junkies visit Costa Rica alone, and not to forget the locals. The locals are unbelievably warm-hearted, kind, and really helpful.
Costa Rica is the only Latin American country which has never experienced any political outrage or some kind of revolutionary movement. If you think that that's not enough, the country does not have an army. It is extremely peaceful.
Alaska is located to the west of Canada. It was once a part of Russia, but it was sold off to the United States. Alaska hosts a lot of solo travellers, every year. Last year itself, 20% of its visitors were solo travellers. It is the safest state in the U.S. for travelling by oneself.
The natural wonders, the snow-capped mountains, the gigantic iceberg, the northern lights, and the glacier-carved fjords make it a must visit for all kinds of travellers. During Summer, hundreds of Blue Whales - largest animal, ever. One can even sight the might Polar Bears between the months of August and October.
