Jodhpur is one of the desert cities of Indian desert. It has certain indigenous delicacies which are being discussed here

One of the less talked about gems in India is Jodhpur which is also called the 'Land of the kings'. Be it the Mehrangarh fort or the Umaid Bhawan, the city has it all to offer the lifetime memories to any of the traveller or the tourist. Apart from all the good that the city offers, one of the delights to be added is the awesome cuisines of this place. Here is a list of the few of the delicacies which everyone who is visiting this place must try, irrespective of any odds.
Gulab Jamun ki sabzi
Served as the dessert all around the world, gulab jamun is subjected to a whole new situation as it enters the boundary of Jodhpur. An innovative dish that uses the unsweetened and raw gulab jamun in a spicy dish loaded with the best of the world's best seasoning. First of all, the balls of the gulab jamun are fried lightly in the ghee and then dropped in a spicy gravy rich in cashews. Considered to be a heavy dish because of the addition of the extra spices, this dish is equally heavenly! A must have before you leave Jodhpur for next destination.
Mirchi Bada
The mercury has never been kind to this city of the Indian desert. But what beats this heat is the same heat! Certainly, the local people of Jodhpur are a fond of Mirchi bada. The heat to counter the mercury is derived from the Rajasthani huge and hot chilli. The mashed potatoes are used to stuff this chilly and this is further gram floured together in a mixture of loaded spices. Dipped in batter and then served with different chutneys will add the real spice to your taste and life!
Pyaz ki kachori
Filled with one of the world's best mouth watering filling, the pyaz ki kachori is another on the top list of the Jodhpur's cuisines. A crisp elliptical snack item served here can prove one of the ultimate delicacies you have ever tasted. Deep fried kachoris are stuffed with the seasoning of the onion and this is one of those dishes to lay your life for! Next time you are heading to Jodhpur, thank me, you know you are not missing the delicious pyaaz ki kachori.
Lal Maans
If you are a non-vegetarian and opened this link to look for the same in Jodhpur, your wait is over! One of the most widely served non-vegetarian cuisines in Jodhpur is Lal Maans. Lal maans is the pieces of mutton in thick gravy which is served with onion, garlic and the chillies. The tangy and thick curry of the same is prepared with the use of buttermilk or the curd instead of the originally used tomato. Delicately smoked with the charcoal, Lal maans suggestion is something you will thank me for all your life!
Apart from the ones mentioned above, gatte ki sabzi, kesar murg, lahsun ki chutney, bajre ka sorga, Rajasthani sula etc can add to your trip in this beautiful desert city!
